Introduction ​

SheetBudget ("we", "us", or "our") operates as a Google Sheets add-on that helps users manage their budgets and financial data. This Privacy Policy explains how we access, use, store, and protect your data when you use our add-on.

By using SheetBudget, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.

SheetBudget accesses the following types of Google user data:

Google Sheets Data ​

  • Spreadsheet Content: We access the content of your Google Sheets to read and write budget-related data, including financial transactions, categories, and calculations.
  • Spreadsheet Metadata: We access basic spreadsheet information such as sheet names, cell ranges, and formatting to provide our budgeting functionality.
  • User Email Address: We may access your Google account email address for authentication and user identification purposes.

Scope of Access ​

SheetBudget only requests the minimum necessary permissions to function properly. We do not access any Google data beyond what is explicitly required for the add-on's budgeting features.

Primary Functionality ​

  • Budget Management: To read, analyze, and organize your financial data within your Google Sheets.

Important Limitations ​

  • We do NOT use your data for advertising purposes.
  • We do NOT use your data to train machine learning models.
  • We do NOT analyze your data for any purpose other than providing the budgeting functionality you request.
  • All data processing occurs within the context of your Google Sheets session.

No Third-Party Sharing ​

  • We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your Google user data to any third parties.
  • We do NOT share your spreadsheet content or financial data with any external services or companies.
  • We do NOT transfer your data outside of the Google Sheets environment where you use the add-on.

Limited Exceptions ​

Your data may only be accessed or shared in the following limited circumstances:

  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
  • User Consent: If you explicitly authorize us to share specific data with a third party.
  • Google Services: Data is processed within Google's infrastructure as part of the add-on's normal operation within Google Sheets.

Service Providers ​

We do not currently use any third-party service providers that have access to your Google user data. If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and ensure any service providers comply with strict data protection requirements.

Data Storage and Protection ​

Storage Practices ​

  • No Server Storage: SheetBudget operates entirely within your Google Sheets environment. We do NOT store your spreadsheet data, financial information, or personal data on our own servers.
  • Local Processing: All data processing happens in real-time within your browser and Google's infrastructure.
  • Temporary Cache: Any temporary data cached during a session is stored only in your browser's memory and is cleared when you close the spreadsheet or end your session.

We implement the following security practices to protect your data:

  • Secure Authentication: We use Google's OAuth 2.0 authentication system to ensure secure access.
  • Encrypted Transmission: All data transmitted between your browser and Google's servers uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).

  • No Persistent Storage: Since we don't store your data on our servers, there is no risk of data breaches from our infrastructure.

Data Retention and Deletion ​

Retention Policy ​

  • No Long-Term Retention: Since SheetBudget does not store your Google Sheets data on our servers, we do not retain your spreadsheet content or financial data after your session ends.
  • Session Data: Any data processed during your use of the add-on exists only for the duration of your active session.
  • Authentication Tokens: Access tokens used for authentication are stored temporarily and expire according to Google's security policies.

User Data Deletion ​

How to Delete Your Data ​

  1. Remove Add-on Access: You can revoke SheetBudget's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account Permissions page and removing SheetBudget.
  2. Uninstall the Add-on: You can uninstall SheetBudget from your Google Sheets at any time through the Extensions menu.
  3. Delete Spreadsheet Data: Since all your data remains in your Google Sheets, you can delete any budget data created by SheetBudget directly from your spreadsheets.

Automatic Deletion ​

  • When you revoke access or uninstall the add-on, any temporary authentication tokens are immediately invalidated.
  • No residual data remains on our systems as we do not store your spreadsheet data.

If you have any concerns about data deletion or want to confirm that your data has been removed, you can contact us at omnidevcreators@gmail.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

Your Privacy Rights ​

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access: You can request information about what data we process.
  • Right to Correction: You can update or correct your data directly in your Google Sheets.
  • Right to Deletion: You can request deletion of your data as described above.

Compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy ​

SheetBudget's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition (with user notice).
  • We do not use or transfer Google user data for serving ads.

Children's Privacy ​

SheetBudget is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
